KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Information Service (JIS) reports that the island recorded its one-millionth visitor – two Americans on an AA flight from Philadelphia – on June 15th. This figure represents the largest number of arrivals over a six month period. The tourism sector also earned in excess of US$1.2 billion for the same period.

As a percentage of total revenue, 31% came from the Caribbean, while 25, 17, 12 and 8% came from Chile, Panama, Puerto Rico and Bahamas, respectively. The remaining 7% was listed as “Other.”
From a product perspective, B2B represented 27% of total revenue, while 20, 19, 19 and 8% came from Broadband, Mobile, Video and Fixed-line Voice, respectively. The remaining 7% was listed as “Other.”
